Noise is not, we repeat, not a dirty word for the Bristol, U.K. duo who call themselves Fuck Buttons. Since 2004, Andrew Hung and Benjamin John Power have been lugging their laptops and electronics gear around the world in a quest to find the beautiful sounds within their hot white fuzz and present it to you, the listener.
Their debut Street Horrrsing laid the complex foundation in 2008, while their new record Tarot Sport tears it all down and starts anew, refreshed and reborn. Recorded with legendary DJ, producer and remixer Andrew Weatherall on production duties, Tarot Sport trims some of the band’s static in favor of a clearer and thicker sonic vision, all the while not lacking in their music’s trademark urgency, energy and anxiety. Fists will pump, arms will flail, tears of joy/pain will flow and bodies will move.
