Brace yourself, Montreal, because it’s that time of the year again: when the streets are jam-packed with a jubilant, inebriated crowd, when anyone not sporting a green item of clothing is regarded as some kind of traitor, and when it is considered common for all to speak in a thick, fake slur of an Irish accent.

That’s right, laddies: it’s Saint Patty’s day.
